Entertaiment: A Fun Restaurant, Entertainment & More
A major theme of this fall issue of T E News is that entertainment is highly fluid and able to be adapted at nearly any scale: from the individual selecting his or her own entertainment from a huge variety of pre-recorded products; to a romantic dinner adapted for two; to a banquet adapted for a large number of people; to the performances designed for thousands of people.
The term entertainment has evolved to be defined as any agreeable occupation for the mind, diversion or amusement, such as solving the daily crossword puzzle or attending a concert or a sporting event. According to Bates and Ferri (2010) entertainment is objective, involves communication between text and audience, is influenced by external stimulus, offers pleasure and requires the participation of an active audience.
