What is Entertaiment?

About

Entertaiment is the term for any activity or pursuit that provides enjoyment and amusement. It encompasses many activities such as watching movies and television, listening to music, playing musical instruments, reading books or poetry, participating in sports, visiting art galleries and museums, and creating or appreciating visual art. The word entertainment is derived from the Medieval Latin inter tenere, which means to hold inside. The prefix inter means “inside,” and the suffix tenere comes from the Indo-European root ten, meaning to hold or stretch.

The most common types of entertainment are the ones that stimulate the brain to release seratonin, dopamine and other chemicals that give us the good feelings the human brain was evolved to react deeply to. This is why many entertainment themes like murders, backstabbing and other social problems are often in the news.
